Inspired by vintage work-wear, Jenny is a modern interpretation of classic overalls and wide-leg trousers with ultra-high rise, sleek, functional details and a comfortable all-day-long fit.

Make a more sophisticated version of dungarees with our well-proportioned bib and optional utility pocket, or omit the bib entirely and make a pair of wide-legged cropped pants, full-length pants or shorts. Optional details abound; mix and match the curved slash front pockets, faux fly front, single or double zipper waistband and rounded back patch pockets. To personalize even further, go all out with high contrast topstitching, or take a more minimalist approach for a clean, elegant finish.

FAQ

How do I print my PDF pattern?

All of our patterns come in a Letter/A4 format (for printing on a home printer) and 36"x48"/A0 format (for printing at a copyshop). Some patterns also come in a projector format. Please check the INFO+ tab under the description to see page counts and file formats available.

How do I download my PDF Pattern?

First, we suggest creating an account in our shop so you can access all your files in one place at any time!

After you place an order, you will land on a page with a custom download link. You can download your pattern then, or use the link included in the order confirmation sent via email. If you don’t receive a download link via email, please check your junk mail as it may have been rerouted (and add us to your safe senders list so it doesn't happen again!)

Am I charged for taxes?

All Canadians are charged GST and possibly PST depending on where they live in Canada. We do not charge taxes in the US.

Customers based in the EU and UK will also be charged VAT on all goods. Regulations have changed in recent years requiring VAT to be collected based on where the customer resides (and not where the company is located) so we are legally required to collect and remit VAT even though our company is based in Canada. You can read more about the VAT regulations here.

What currency will I be charged in?

Use the dropdown at the top of our menu to choose USD, CAD, AUD, GBP, or EUR dollars to view prices and checkout in the currency of your choice.

For AUD, GBP, and EUR currencies, the price you'll see is linked to the daily exchange rate between USD and your currency, which means prices may fluctuate. For our Canadian customers, we have established set prices that will not vary with exchange rates.

Shipping + Returns

Shipping

American customers: Packages in the US are shipped via USPS First Class and Priority Mail twice a week. Please allow 8 to 12 days for your parcel to arrive.

Canadian customers: Your orders are sent via Canada Post letter or parcel post. Please allow 8 to 12 days for your parcel to arrive, and wait up to 3 weeks before contacting us.

International customers: Estimated delivery dates are listed below the shipping price when you checkout. We have two possible services. International First Class is for packages under 2 kilos and takes approx 10-40 days to arrive depending on your location. International Priority is a bit faster and should arrive at your destination in approx 8-20 days. Both services include tracking for *most* destinations.

Order tracking

Most shipping services we offer come with a tracking number. This will be sent to you via email you once the order has been processed in our warehouse.

If the above mentioned waiting times have elapsed, please message us about your delay. We’ll be happy to work with you to figure out a solution.

Jenny Shorts Pattern - Love them!

I received my pattern a few weeks ago and I had been waiting for the summer holidays to start. I will finish them today.
Closet Core patterns are one of my favourites as they are easy to read and the pictures are helpful.
I bought the Blanca Flight Suit pattern as well. Can't wait to make that one as well.
Keep up the great pattern making Closet Core Crew.

Fit to large, but awesome pattern!

I’m fairly beginner, so I followed the pattern based on my measurements, and found that it ended up fitting much too large. This is my first pair of pants I’ve ever made, so I’m willing to admit it may have been user error, but I did have to take several inches off the waist/hip area for a well fitting pant. That being said, this is only my second sewing project since some basic sewing with my mom when I was a kid, and I found the instructions very helpful and easy to follow! I was able to learn a bunch of new skills that I’d never tried before (pockets, buttons, zippers!). Overall very happy with it, although would probably go down 2 sizes or so next time I use the pattern!

Classic pattern with lots of options

I bought this pattern to make the cropped trousers, not the overalls. I love wide leg trousers, but they often don't fit me well because my waist measurement is larger relative to my hips and thighs. I find the Closet Core patterns to be really well drafted, so I decided I would start with the Jenny pattern and modify as needed. I made the shorts first just to understand how the pattern fits, and they are so cute! The straight waistband was a bit rigid for me so for my next make I replaced it with the slightly curved waistband from the Ginger jeans pattern, which worked very well (I took 3/8" off the top of the pants first to account for the greater width of the Ginger waistband). Now I've just finished my cropped trousers, to which I also added a front stay. I love the adaptability of this pattern.

Great fit

This pattern was perfect and easily adjustable. I love overalls but they're always too short in the waist-to-crotch length or super baggy. It was clear where to add length exactly where I needed and fits awesome in the waist. Very true to size (unlike many commercial patterns which often require some form of divining to figure out what size you need).

Fabulous Fun overalls

Another fabulous pattern, well drafted and easy to follow. I have already made Jenny twice, and can see me making the trousers too! Highly recommend

Great pattern!

Great pattern as usual with closet core! Fit is comfy and flattering (I think!). I am not sure if I completed the zipper part correctly even after checking the step by step on the blog. It seems like I may have used up a little bit too much of seam allowance on that side. A video tutorial on that step may have helped me (it may exists though?). Besides that explanations are super clear and make for a very enjoyable experience when you take your time! I bought the pattern for the overalls version but will probably also make some pants given the nice fit!
